Chief Justice Rehnquist Died. After his bout with cancer, William Rehnquist died at the age of 80. This essentially created a second vacancy on the Supreme Court, giving President Bush unheralded power to steer the future stance of the court.

A Bad Situation Worsens. Past the intial shock of Hurricane Katrina, details about the situation in New Orleans spread around the nation. Now I get my voice out there as well.

Rumors kill. While the hurricane is only responsible for 130 deaths (current total), a vicious rumor causes the death of 1,000 Iraqis. Did someone's mother forget to teach him that rumor's can hurt?

Information Addicts. A long rant about America's addiction to information. It probably applies to many other people around the world, but this is where I have first-hand knowledge. I blame the media, the world, and you for this addiction. And I blame me.
